Wells Fargo Center first opened its doors in 1996 and quickly ascended to its position as one of the most active entertainment venues in the world, hosting over 250 events and millions of fans each year. Wells Fargo Center is no stranger to the national spotlight, hosting such prestigious events as the 1996 World Cup of Hockey, the 1997 and 2010 Stanley Cup Finals, the 1998 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, the 1999 AHL All-Star Game, the 2000 Republican National Convention, the 2001 NBA Finals, the 2001 and 2002 X Games, the 2002 NBA All-Star Weekend, the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, the 2016 Democratic National Convention and the 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals.

Additionally, Wells Fargo Center has hosted numerous NCAA national events and attractions, including the 2016 NCAA Men’s Basketball East Regionals, the 2014 Frozen Four, the 2011 NCAA Wrestling Championships, and the 2000 NCAA Women’s Final Four.
