Comcast Spectacor, owner of a portfolio of professional sports teams that includes the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers and the Overwatch League’s Philadelphia Fusion, today announced a strategic investment in N3rd Street Gamers, America’s premier amateur esports network.

The partnership links Philadelphia’s first professional esports franchise with the region’s most powerful amateur esports pipeline and marks the advancement of a national framework for in-person esports competition and player development. The deal was announced by Dave Scott, Chairman and CEO of Comcast Spectacor, and John Fazio, Chairman and President of N3rd Street Gamers. Comcast Spectacor’s expertise as an owner and operator of professional sports teams, as well as top-flight venues that elevate the live event experience, is now integrated with N3rd Street Gamers’ proven ability to engage and cultivate the nation’s rapidly growing esports culture.
