Mark Zarthar is Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Philadelphia Flyers and the Wells Fargo Center. In his role, Zarthar oversees a wide range of business decisions and strategies for marketing functions such as branding, creative content and video production, digital and social media, broadcasting, event presentation, advertising, and community relations.
Prior to joining Comcast Spectacor, Zarthar was employed by the Houston Astros as President of the organization’s MiLB affiliate, the Fayetteville Woodpeckers. He was responsible for launching all business and baseball operations of the Woodpeckers, including the development of its new ballpark, Segra Stadium.
During his time in Fayetteville, he established the team’s brand identity, built the team’s sponsor and season ticket holder bases, and initiated community outreach via the Woodpeckers Fund.
Prior to his tenure with the Woodpeckers, Zarthar held various positions in brand management and sports marketing for Anheuser-Busch InBev in New York City and St. Louis, overseeing several national campaigns across various brands.
Zarthar received a BSBA degree in Finance from the University of Richmond and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
