Joe Meade joined Comcast Spectacor in 2021 and as Vice President of Community Relations and Government Affairs, leads the community impact strategy and program development efforts, with a primary focus on growing the game of hockey within greater Philadelphia. In this role, he helps develop aligned strategies and complementary initiatives with Flyers Charities that achieve maximum impact for the organization’s brand and in the region. Joe also helps manage relationships with the City of Philadelphia and other relevant government stakeholders.
Prior to Comcast Spectacor, Joe was Chief of Staff to the University President and Executive Director of Government and Community Affairs at La Salle University. During his tenure, he integrated an array of University activities and managed all day-to-day operations including personnel, financial management and provided coordination with members of the senior leadership team. He was also responsible for advancing opportunities and implementing activities that supported public funding goals for the University’s operations and capital expenses. Prior to La Salle, he was Executive Director of Government and External Affairs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Joe is a graduate of West Chester University and earned a Master of Public Administration from Widener University.
